I think that it is a good idea in some cases that a face transplant of this type should be done like it someone's face is destroyed from a accident but not any one should be allowed to have a face transplant done just because they dont like the way that their face looks.

I think this is great for people that have issues with there face. Only the people that really need it. Not the movie stars so they can look better. But for people that has had something really bad happen to them.

I think this is a good idea, but not a procedure for everyone. Only certain people could handle looking at different skin, on their face. For people today, looks are everything. Like the article said, society truely cannot accept a disfigured face.

Wow, this article just shows how advanced the medical field is becoming. So many new options are becoming available for everyone. It sounds like the procedure isn't 100% effective, but the more it's done and researched, the better it will become.

I think that this new surgery is an amazing way to help people that have been in serious accidents and need help reconstructing their face. The fact that the skin in coming from a cadaver is slightly weird but if you or a loved one were in desperate need of a new face then it would just be something you would have to get used to. It would be hard to get used to at first if someone close to you had a face transplant, but just like any other reconstructive surgery, you get used to it. One can only wonder what they will come up with next in the medical world.

i think this is amazing because people deserve a second chance no one should have to go with the pain of people making fun of them and living every day with a disfigured face. i just wonder about the little boy that has been on the news he is only 6 years old and needs a new face but because he is so young they are scared that it might cause extream scaring. This is amazing that our country is advancing so much to where we can help so many people and let them continue with their life.

I believe that this is a giant leap is science. This is an very important step for a person who has been permanently scarred and in an society where everyone relies on apperance to get them places in the world these people who have been ashamed of their faces because of a disfigurement or of a permanent scare can now breathe a little easier and know that there is help out there for them. That they have a way to change themselves to fit the way they would like to see themselves as. CJ

In my opinion I think that this is a fascinating break-through. There are many people in our society today that have to live with the harsh reality of having facial defects that affect their lives very negatively. This negative judgement can bring them down socially, emotionally, and mentally. So this can help our society one day have a greater self confidence, and positive reasurance. But only time will tell the outcomes of these procedures, but now it seems like a wonderful discovery.

In my thoughts I think it can be a good or a bad idea to do. A bad thing is that something might just go wrong in theh surgery. A good thing might be is you just want to get a new skin. So you are just taking a risk. ep

I feel like this procedure could become a really good thing if people don't start doing it for the wrong reason. This could help a lot of people that are embarrassed about what they look like because of an accident , but i do think you should only be able to do it if it is very severe and not just because you want a new face.
